Job Stories From Randolph County, IN
Basement Wall Leaks in Winchester, IN

David had water leaking through his basement walls causing wet spots on his floors.  Knowing this problem could eventually cause foundation issues, he called Basement Systems of Indiana for a free basement waterproofing estimate.  Our Sales Inspector Terry explained to David that having a French Drain System and a quality sump pump installed would be the most effective solution.

Our foreman Jon and his crew installed a full perimeter WaterGuard French System below the floor on top of the slab.  This keeps the system out of the mud zone, ultimately avoiding clogging and maintaining its sole purpose of collecting water seeping through basement walls.  A SuperSump pump was installed to pump water out of the basement being collected by the WaterGuard drainage system.

During a final walkthrough with the homeowner David, our foreman Jon explained that this basement waterproofing system will eliminate in future water issues.  David was very happy to hear that he could put his worries aside and begin enjoying his basement once again.

Crawl Space Waterproofing in Union City, IN

Homeowner Steve's crawl space had several issues including standing water, high humidity, and mold.  Due to a poor crawl space environment that could cause harm to the rest of the home, Steve began searching for reliable crawl space repair companies.  He found Basement Systems online and our Sales Inspector Josh went to the home for a free crawl space inspection.

During the inspection, Josh explained our process of needing to control the environment in the crawl space, which includes an encapsulation, a sump pump, drainage system, and a dehumidifier.  The crawl space was typical of many crawl spaces that we have transformed in the Central Indiana area in that humidity and moisture were very high due to lack of a vapor barrier and dehumidifier.

Our Foreman Joe and his installers Isaiah, Tommy, and Herschel removed debris from the crawl space before installing CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the crawl space floor.  SilverGlo Wall Insulation was added to complete the encapsulation, along with a SmartSump Pump, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.  The crew completed the job in three days and faced no major obstacles along the way, leaving the customer very happy with the results.  If you have a nasty crawl space that needs an inspection, contact us today!  https://www.basementsystemsofindiana.com/free-estimate.html

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Modoc, IN

This homeowner in Modoc, Indiana was concerned about his crawl space becoming damp and humid.  Knowing there was not a vapor barrier installed in the crawl space, he decided to reach out to a crawl space repair contractor for a free inspection.   He found Basement Systems of Indiana while searching for reliable companies with positive feedback.

Our Sales Inspector Eric went out to the home in Modoc, Indiana to provide a thorough inspection to determine why the crawl space was damp and how we could resolve the issue.  After the inspection, Eric explained to the homeowner that the reason for the high humidity and dampness was because of the lack of a vapor barrier and dehumidifier.  Eric recommended having the crawl space encapsulated, installing a sump pump, and a dehumidifier.

Our Foreman Eric and his crew members John and Nick encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier on the ground and SilverGlo thermal insulation on the walls.  The crew then installed a TripleSafe sump pump and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to completely change the environment in the crawl space.  The homeowner can now have a peace of mind that he now has a healthy below grade space, which will also translate to an increased quality of living throughout the home as well.

Commercial Foundation Job in Union City, IN

The owner of a Napa Auto Parts store in Union City, Indiana was extremely concerned about the foundation support of his building due to noticeably large cracks on the exterior.  The problem had only continued to get worse over time and he decided start looking for reliable companies to fix the issue permanently.  He found Basement Systems of Indiana while searching online and quickly reached out to have a foundation expert come out to provide a free estimate.

Our Sales Inspector Paige, who primarily focuses his expertise on foundation issues, went out to Union City to thoroughly inspect the Napa Auto Parts store.  Paige explained to the building owner that piers would need to be installed in order to lift the building back to its original level after settlement issues and wall cracks and taken a toll on the foundation of the building.

Our foundation repair crew led by our Foreman Wes and his installers John and Jon-Wesley dug around the exterior of the foundation to install 6 Push Piers.  The crew faced some challenges during the foundation repair process, but the result of the job was exactly what the customer was looking for.

Basement Waterproofing and Wall Finishing in Ridgeville, IN

This homeowner in Ridgeville, Indiana noticed water leaking through his basement walls during heavy rains.  He was also very displeased with the discoloration on the walls as a result of the water leaking through and was interested in having the basement walls finished.  The homeowner saw a basement waterproofing ad on Facebook and was intrigued by having a free estimate for his basement issues.

Our Sales Inspector Jackson went out to the home in Ridgeville, Indiana to provide a thorough inspection of the basement and provide a solution for the water issues and possible wall finishing options.  During the inspection, Jackson used a moisture meter to pinpoint exactly where the water was leaking through the walls and recommended having a perimeter floor drainage system installed.  Along with a drainage system, a sump pump would need to be installed to keep the basement dry all the time during heavy rains.

Our Foreman Emilio and his crew members Isaias, Olvin, and Dennis installed a WaterGuard floor drainage system around the perimeter of the basement to collect water passing through the walls and redirect it to a TripleSafe sump pump, which provides three levels of protection for the basement.  The crew then installed ZenWall insulated basement wall panels for a clean, finished appearance.

Crawl Space Repair in Lynn, IN

A homeowner in Lynn, Indiana has a half basement and half crawl space that he felt both needed repairs.  The crawl space section of the home had a continuous problem with water leaking up through the ground, which was causing high humidity and moisture issues.  He also noticed that the floors in his home above the basement and crawl space were uneven potentially caused by structural issues below.  The homeowner found our company through a television commercial and reached out to have a thorough inspection.

Our Certified Inspector Eric went out to the home in Lynn, Indiana to provide the homeowner with a thorough inspection of the structural issues in the basement section of the home, the water issues in the crawl space, and any potential foundation issues on the exterior of the home.  Eric informed the homeowner that water seeping through the crawl space ground could be resolved by having a drainage system installed around perimeter of the basement that redirects the water to a sump pump.  Sealing the crawl space ground would prevent moisture from passing through and causing humidity.  Eric's inspection of the crawl space area pointed out that the wooden floor joists supporting the floors above had begun to rot and shrink, causing the floors to be uneven above.  His recommendation for this issue was to installed support beams that would stabilize the floors and prevent any further movement.

Our Foreman Joe and his crew members Brian and Juan Pablo installed an EzFlo drainage system in the crawl space that will redirect the ground water to SuperSump Pump, which will then pump the water out of the home through a discharge line system.  The crew also installed CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal the ground and walls from any moisture passing through and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the environment.  For the structural repairs to the floor joists, the crew used SmartJack support posts that stabilize the floors above from any further movement.

Basement Sump Pump Replacement in Farmland, IN

A homeowner in Farmland, Indiana had an existing sump pump in her basement that was installed by another company about 5 years ago, but it was unable to handle a large volume of water during a heavy rain.  The recent wave of storms in Central Indiana caused water to seep into her basement and the sump pump could not keep up, leaving pools of water in one corner of the basement.  The homeowner had visited the Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show in early March with hopes of speaking to a basement waterproofing expert who could help address her issues.

Our Certified Inspector Terry went out to the home in Farmland, Indiana to provide a thorough inspection of the basement and determine what could be done to protect the basement.  During his inspection, Terry explained to the home the difference between our own patented sump pump compared to what the existing sump pump was able to do.  The homeowner agreed on having a new sump pump installed and was also interested in new basement windows to upgrade the space even more.

Our Foreman Joe and his crew members installed a SuperSump pump system to keep the area dry at all times and pump water out and away from the home through our IceGuard discharge line system.  The crew then installed an EverLast basement window to provide more natural light and a upgraded appearance.  The homeowner was very happy with the crew's efficiency and craftsman ship of the products that they installed.
